Our Programs

Every one deserves a decent, affordable place to call home. Habitat for Humanity helps families in our greater Lincoln community build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Habitat Lincoln builds and sells homes in partnership with low-and moderate-income families who are willing to work hard to become homeowners. Our homeownership program empowers working individuals and families to build and buy their own homes. We partner with homeowners every step of the way, and provide the education and support needed to become successful homeowners.

Every homeowner deserves to live in a safe and stable, well-maintained home. We partner with existing low-income owner-occupied homeowners to do simple and critical home repairs so they can continue to live in safe and affordable homes.

Benefits of Habitat Homeownership:

  • Affordability: Affordable mortgage payments that are set to not exceed 30% of your family's gross monthly income.
  • Education: Habitat provides a series of home-buying classes and workshops that prepare homebuyers to become successful homeowners.
  • Trusted Partner: Habitat for Humanity has ben building affordable homes in Lincoln and Lancaster County for more than 32 years. To date, we have served more than 800 local individuals.
