Give to Lincoln Day Success

24hr Giving Campaign

We are so grateful for all of the support on Give to Lincoln Day, and everyday.

To date, we are aware of $16,000 raised. This number will increase with the match funds and any offline donations given in person. We will share the grand total when we are given the information.

On May 28, 2015 our community came together to raise awareness and promote generosity. For 24 hours, a share of every donation made to local nonprofits was proportionately matched by a $300,000 challenge match fund provided by the Lincoln Community Foundation and partner sponsors.

Funds raised will:

  • Stay local.
  • Help a family build and purchase a home.
  • Build energy efficient and sustainable homes.

Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Habitat Build Updates

The Pope Francis House

The foundation has been poured. Volunteers are prepping the job site for the wall raising day. Walls will be raised June 18, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. We hope you are able to join us in this very special phase of construction.

Women Build 2015

This build is moving right along. The volunteer group from Wells Fargo Advisors helped keep this build on track by getting all the siding installed, lot prep done, and all the scaffolding and the HUGS system removed and stowed. We have really enjoyed seeing the pink studs fill this home. Soon they will be covered with drywall. The exterior paint will be completed on a day with no rain. Thank you to all of the volunteers that are making this home possible. We appreciate you!

Faithful Build sponsored by Thrivent Financial

This build is the first build in 2015, and it has been moving along smoothly. This past weekend the South Street Temple nearly completed the exterior painting of the home and shed. This home is ready for the interior pain and then the trim will be next. Our goal is to have Ahmed, Fatima and their children in their home before school begins. Thank you to every volunteer that has put a little sweat into this home. You have made a difference!

Recycled Habitat Home

This Habitat home was built in 2004. The family moved out of state and turned the home back over to L/LC Habitat for Humanity for a new partner family to purchase with a 0% interest loan. This home has a few updates to complete before a family can move it. The interior will be painted early summer. More updates to come as this home progresses.
