CONSTRUCTION/SITE SELECTION COMMITTEE
Purpose: Advise the Board on the construction of Habitat homes. Identify areas of the community in which property is readily available at a reasonable cost and recommend property for acquisition to the Board. Carry out the acquisition and construction processes.
Purpose: Strengthen the support of the affiliate's work by gathering resources, working in partnership, and extending opportunities to engage Lincoln's faith community.
Purpose: Carry out the Board's vision by identifying families in need of decent, affordable housing. Develop the processes and policies for selecting those who best meet the criterion in the policies.
Purpose: Coordinate all financial and accounting aspects of the affiliate. Provide accurate and useful financial information to the Board of Directors to facilitate effective decision-making.
Purpose: Work with homeowners to maintain current monthly mortgage payments while providing financial counseling and guidance.
FUND RAISING/PUBLIC RELATIONS
Purpose: Develop a high level of understanding of Habitat within the community. Communicate the mission, principles and policies in a manner consistent with the image of Habitat for Humanity International.Meet the fiscal needs of the affiliate through fundraising and encouragement of community participation through volunteerism or cash and in-kind gifts. Purpose: Develop the personnel policies of the affiliate and conduct performance evaluations of the affiliate’s executive director.
Purpose: Recruit, select and maintain a Board of Directors that is effective and has balanced representation of the entire community.
